Question:

Cubs Fan/Baseball Fans: Are you concerned the Cubs suffered rare back-to-back losses?

Do you think the Chicago Cubs have what it takes to win the NL Central and advance through the NLDS and NLCS to represent the National League at the 2008 World Series? Cubs have the best record in baseball, but we all know, records mean nothing when the playoffs begin. I want you un-bias, honest opinions here.

  1. if cubs fans should be scared of anything, they should be scared of losing in the postseason.  They are assured post season play so why worry?

  4. Just answering the headlined question (even though I know you asked many more that I may feel like answering later):

No, I'm not concerned about their back-to-back losses at all. What goes up must come down. Every good team suffers losses here and there. It's nothing to sweat about.

  5. i am a cub fan and i will make an un-bias, honest opinion. i am not worried at all about back-to-back losses. they can't win them all or else they would go 162-0. and yes they have what it takes to not only win the NL central, but to win the world series. obviously the record doesn't mean a d**n thing going into the playoffs (cardinals in 2006), but it helps to know that they have the most talented team in the national league.

  6. I think it isn't an issue, you win some you lose some and the Cubs have won a lot this year.  They should win the NL this year and get to the World Series, but as we know it doesn't always go as planned.

    NL East:  Mets

    NL Central:  Cubs

    NL West: D Backs

    AL East: Rays

    AL Central:  White Sox

    AL West: Angels

    Wild card:

    NL: Brewers

    AL: Red Sox

  7. No way!!!! They are going to make it to the playoffs. With all the defencive and offencive power that ball club has they could make it to the finals. The teams they have to watch out is for the LA angels, Tampa Bay Rays and the Boston Red sox. So i think they will make to the League Series of even the finals. I am not a Cubs fan but i do know a lot about baseball.

My prediction of the World Series final is going to be The Chicago Cubs VS the Tampa Bay Rays. The Red Sox might make it to the finals because it's hard to tell. The Top players for the Cubs are Aramis Ramirez and Carlos Lee. I think they should play Reed Johnson more because he has a lot of defensive strenght! He does'nt have all of the Offensive power but can make some hits. I would like to see the Cubs win the World series  since they havent won the World Series in 100 Years. But they Rays could be a challenge against them. I am not sure if the pitching staff of the Cubs can go up against the Rays pitching staff.  I like that Cubs and i would like to see them win the World Series.  Bye
