good or bad move?

i think its a bad move because there is still a month left in the season and there only 4.5 up on the brewers. the only team that should be able to rest is the angels because they have a 17 game lead

  1. I think they only scratched Zambrano yesterday because he said his arm felt tired. Cubs would have won easily if Z was pitching.

  2. yeah i think it would be a bad move but i think they scratched zambrano because of tightness in his arm btu yeah i think it would be a bad move but they should rest zambrano even tho they hav 4.5 games lead but they do need him for the playoffs

  3. Yea it is a gud thing bcuz it dont matter they are making the playoffs and it dont matter if they win the division or not

  4. I think its a bit cockey, but whatever

They are the cubs, this was bound to happen!

  5. yea well Zambrono says his arm is not hurting but just like bret farve not like it used to be.  his arm is fatigue and that is all.  so he will rest an extra day or two and hopefully he can come back.  if not the cubs could be in some trouble.  and yes the angels should be the only ones to rest there pitches.(but that's another question itself)

the move is a good one i think so that way when zambrono comes back he is ready and healthy to pitch.  also there may be hidden pain because they noticed he dropped his arm when he throws.

  6. Carlos is only resting because of his tired arm. Rich Harden does not pitch today vs the Astros it is Jason Marquis.

I do believe that resting the starters is a good thing. Giving the New Call ups playing time is good because you never know when you could find a Geovany Soto or a Ryan Braun in the pack!

Edit: Puma K, I am so glad that school is starting again because man honestly you need some hardcore English lessons. His name is Zambrano not Zombrano. I am tired of seeing your terrible grammar on the site. And Im sure I am not the only one.

  7. While the Cubs do only have a 4.5 game lead, they also have a 10 game lead on the 2nd place Wild Card team, so they're pretty safely into october. They're doing the right thing. At this point, their focus is to make the playoffs, not win the division. Lou Piniella probably won't care if he gets into the playoffs if the Cubs win the division, or the Cubs won the Wild Card.

From here, the Crew really should be more conservative with guys like Sabathia, Sheets, and Parra. Obviously yesterday was a special case, and I understand letting CC finish his near no-no.

hardn1ples is reported. LOL I don't think he understands that a girl can be named Sam, too. Not too smart, I guess.

  8. i agree, you fight when you're down half a game and you fight when you're ahead 17.

Angels shouldn't rest either. No need for complacency at all.

i am sort of worried.. there's two rookies replacing two injured guys on the field.. hope Howie and Aybar comes back soon so the angels can go into postseason healthy unlike last year

I heard Z had some tightness so maybe that's why.
