Cubs are really overrated?

i think they have to be the most overrated team in baseball rite now, i keep hearin bout em winnin the world series, but they couldnt win a game on the road against an AL team example: Tampa Bay and Chicago White Sox. it wont b boston and the cubs in the world series, becuz the bosox will not get that far

they are slumping right now.  Their first half was very impressive, but its safe to say they are overrated.  Dont expect them to play like they are now for the rest of the season.

Cubs have some serious Defense...they sure make it tough.

They may be over-hyped, but not overrated, they are good.

I won't say they are overrated, just that they are being hyped up to much at this time for the World Series. They are a talented team that is going through what every pro team does yearly.  

Personally, I think the Brewers are the best team in the NL Central and are playing the best ball in the NL.

you, like everyone else, is entitled to your own opinion. I'm not a cubbie fan, so i can only look at the standings and i--or anyone--must admit they are having a good year. The phrase "over rated" is really pretty much meaningless, as no matter what is said, the games must be played, "ratings" notwithstanding. Same thing with bosox fans--or the team--they gotta play em and win to make it to the WS, and pre-season "ratings" mean nothing. Now, if you want "over rated", you need only look at the seattle mariners, who were picked by some to win the AL west--and where are they currently? Now THAT'S a truer definition of "over rated".

i don't think the Cubs are that overrated!! i think that they will win the NL wild card after losing their division to the Brewers. The Cardinals don't have a chance!

The Cubs look and are playing as if they are the worst team in baseball. With no help coming and constant injuries to key personnel, I say that this team is one injury or series sweep away from being eliminated from playoff contention.

I wouldnt be surprised to see the Cubs end up in 4th place. They do have a lock on 3rd though,  behind the Brewers and Cardinals.

Boston Believes: You are one to talk about someone not knowing baseball. You failed to mention the your Sox are two losses behind the RAYS (1st place Rays) and have really not been playing very well of late.

P.S.: and the Cubs, Brewers and Cards havent suffered from injuries. Waaah!

You really don't sound like you know baseball at all. The Cubs are less overrated than the Phillies and DBacks right now. And the Red Sox and Angels are the 2 strongest teams in the AL. The Red Sox have suffered a lot because of injuries this year, and hopefully can straighten out after the All-Star break.  The Cubs have such a great home winning % that their road % is low, so that's why they didn't win against the Rays and White Sox on the road.
