Cue Card Debit Card Question?

Okay so I'm getting a debit card (i'm 15) and it's called a cuecard which you can use at any ATM with the cirrus/maestro symbol but i was wondering can you use them at an ATM with the Mastercard symbol because they are pretty similar arn't they? like same company? also are they very common in Australia (Victoria/Melbourne)

  1. All ATMs in Australia should accept the Cuecard.

    Overseas you would need to look for the Cirrus symbol on ATMs and the Maestro symbol at merchants.

    In Australia you can also get a Visa Debit card.

    This has the Visa symbol and can be used anywhere Visa is accepted, but it is not a credit card.  You can only spend the money you have in your account.


  2. Maestro is owned by the same company as mastercard...look at the logos next time. A debit card with this logo can be used anywhere in the world inc Melb thats shows the Cirrus/Maestro logo. Eftpos, ATM's and even some websites!! CHECK the fees for using other machines first, a little fee here and a little fee there will add up...
