  1. There are some very good dvds you could order or as another user suggested look on youtube

  2. http://www.tableskills.com/follow-englis...

  3. English is just another word for side spin. Any time you hit the cue ball to the left or right of center you will be putting side spin or english on the cue ball. Thats it.

  4. Hit the cue ball below center (draw)to draw it back after hitting the object ball (keep in mind that if you hit the object ball at an angle while drawing the cue ball it will come off the object ball at a 90 degree angle.

Hit the cue ball above center to get it to run (follow) the object ball. (keep in mind that the cue ball will come off of the object ball at a 30 degree angle if hitting it at an angle.

Hit the cue ball to the left or right of center to 'throw' balls(changing the natural angle of the cue ball/ object ball collision.) This is also useful when hitting balls frozen against rails. Just remember to use 'inside english' (the side of the cue ball that is open to most of the table.

Use different combinations of these (ex. Lower-righthand english) to produce VERY useful shots.

  5. just go to youtube.com and and get some instructional clips on how to apply and use it
