  1. i dont have a schon (played with one before) but i do have a preditor. With my short experience with the schon i would say that it is a great stick. But so is preditor. The differance for me between teh two is the hit. Preditor is very stiff. The deflection is almost nill. I even shaved my shaft down and it stayed stiff. The schons hit solid but i felt like it deflected more. If you are on the rail a lot or like to put insane spill on the ball then i would go with the preditor. If you play more centerball and natural shape to center of the table then schon is a good cue. For resale value i would rather be trying to sell a schon though. Might be somghting to consider as well.

  2. I've played with and curently own both. Predator is great as far as a no deflection cue but the feel is lacking. I enjoy a Schon and think they are a great bridge between a production cue and a custom. If you don't mind the cost try a Runde he was the start of Schon and makes a d**n find cue.

My personal cue is a Schick.

  3. Have always pretty much played with a Predator....recently purchased the Predator 2 and really enjoy the feel of it compared to the orginal shaft.....in theory, I really think that in my mind this shaft answers all of the questions and doubts that I would have about a shaft.....it is put togethter with all of the wood grain going in the same direction......supposedly some shafts have flaws with the grain and some players will roll the cue to put this flaw on the opposite side of the stroke.......or something like that...I really don't understand it.....if their game is that "fine" tuned then they should be on TV......I have no reason to look for another cue....this one is fine for my game and have better things to "waste" my money on.......not much help on your question but just wanted to put my 2 points in!.....no one is going to be able to answer this for you......maybe you could catch some one at the local hall that might let you find out the difference!

  4. After personal choice the diff between my fishing pole and a Richard Black signature is bout $12K--$16K if you can or cant shoot with it its just artwork and some dam--good art at that but for shot making you dont need a stick i cant spell or you cant shoot with
