  1. Dr Haushka cosmetics are chemical free, fair trade kind to animals and treat humans decent too.  Also Burts Bees excellent cosmetics.  Ecover and EcoLily is kind to environment cleaning materials.  Most small towns in Ireland have a wholefood shop/ health shop.  There is a shop in Dublin beside the Hard rock Cafe (forget the name of street) in Temple Bar.  Amnesty International or Greenpeace sells a shopping guide which tells you which companies trade fairly, kind to humans, animals and the environment.  It is called the Good consumer guide or something like that.  It comes out ever year.

Yes its financially affordable, and its good you care.

  2. I doubt it very very very seriously.  Environmentally active people's toes are so sensitive the ones in Ireland can feel me walking in the USA.

If you want, and they do, to go far enough with your argument you will find something that will offend them.  If it is nothing more than the solvent used in the paint on the custodian' car that cleans the lab and so forth.  I guess my point is, as long as you are happy with a product some Eco-freak will be unhappy with it and you.
