  1. no

  2. No such animal exists. Almost any good cue manufacture will warranty against manufacture defect only in other words if your dumb enough to leave a cue in your trunk and it warps well then thats your fault and your out of luck.

  3. McDermott and Viking warranty their cues against warpage. I've seen some break cues that guarantee their one piece, phenolic, tip/ferrule combos for the life of the cue, but nobody anywhere will ever warranty a leather (standard) tip. Periodically replacing the tip is just part of the general maintenance of the cue. Besides, even if the did warranty the tip, you'd have to ship it back to the manufacturer then pay to have it shipped back to you. It would cost you more to do that than to just have it replaced at a shop.

BTW, if you buy a nice custom cue, you don't need an actual "warranty" on the shaft. The selection and preparation of shaft wood is so much better than with production cues, that it's very, very unlikely the shaft will warp unless you abuse the cue.

  4. I know that Viking and McDermott have very good warranties. . Check them out.

There may be other companies with good warranties too but I'm not aware of them.

  5. Well you are not going to find any cue maker or company that is going to replace the tip for free every time you need one, but any reputable cue maker is going to back their cue against warping and defects as long as it was manufacturer flaw.  If you smash your cue in 3 pieces on the side of a table after missing a shot, they are not going to fix or replace it for free.  Above all stick to American made cues.  Good luck, and keep rackin em up!

  6. Tip wear down, its just like tires on a car. They need to be replaced from time to time. Some custom cue makes will maintain a cue for a very low cost if purchased from them. Its pretty much impossible to give a life time warranty on an object made of wood, specially if the person owning the object doesn't know how to protect it from warping. Extreme temperature changes can cause a cue to warp, lots of people shot pool one night get home and leave their cue in the car, the next morning the sun is baking on the car....this is very bad for the cue.
