  1. Tribes and States? Question doesn't make sense.

  2. I don't at all understand your question.

A state is a political entity. Some have a predominent religion, others not.

A tribe is a cultural group, usually sharing one religion.

But without understanding at all what it is you want to know, it's impossible to help you.

  3. A tribe often has many spiritual beings; when going to war, however, the dominant spirit represents the whole tribe and becomes an ethnonymic marker.

With the formation of a state comprised of many tribes, a competiton ensues as a result of which a hierarchy emeges; the dominant ethnomymic marker, s.a. Zeus for ancient Greece, becomes the supreme god-the-father (Deos-pitar > Jupiter), whereas the lesser gods becomes his spouse(s) godess-the-mother (Ge-matar > Demeter), children and other minor characters in the extended family of sprits and gods.

This polytheist kinship may or may not evlove into monotheist religion; in fact, the evlotution, in the case it does occure, could also be viewed more a regression than evolution, to the dominant tribal spirit only on a grander scale.
