Cultural Relativism. Issit a good thing or bad thing?

I know of cultural relativism meaning different cultures= different moral codes... But iss cultural relativism wholly good or has some bad elements in it too?

Nature allows people to exist. Yet it creates storms, earthquakes, etc. Is nature a good thing or a bad thing? It just is what it is. The same holds true for cultures. They are what they are.

There's much about culture that's completely arbitrary. It's good to understand and accept this.

Then there's stuff that's actually harmful.

The key is to make that distinction, and accept the harmless differences, without bashing people for them, but not to just accept the harmful ones.
