Cultural anthropologists tell us of what is called the Five Generation Rule. Remove any people group from their native homeland, immerse them in another place, with another culture and another language, and within five generations they will completely lose their previous identity. There is one exception to the Five Generation Rule - the Jews.

  1. there r also jews who r jews only in name.

    jews r ostracised, pushed aside, hence their sense of survival is diff not greater. the holocaust has further cemented their jewishness.  israel uses the past to maintain it.  but the younger generation is losing and getting tired of the war.  some migrated out as more so called russian jews r imported.

    also true.  look at a china chinese and an american chinese. totally different cattle of fish! thinking, outlook, etc is all different.  culture is indeed more influential than genes! nature vs nurture. nurture will win.

    but han chinese has something tt will endure eternity, u know?


  2. Perhaps Jews are culturally more "Obsessive-Compulsive", when it comes to relinquishing their "identity"...
