  1. I think it would be an asset to your classroom.  Let everyone share and help them appreciate their own culture and learn about other cultures.

    It may be more work for you, but I think the rewards will be worth it.


  2. You must adhere to the personal care practises, some cultures only use wet toilet tissue, others have to wash under running water. Food must adhere to cultural practises, kosher,halal, some children eat with their hands, others use utensils spoon and fork rather than knife and fork. Time for prayer must be allowed. Notices and news letters will have to published in various languages. Bi-lingual assistants may be needed.

    toys and equipment should show diversity.

    Any physical activities must allow for children to cover arms and/or legs.

  3. The culture backgrounds of children can affect how children have learned to play or act with others.  Also, the food that is served is a large impact.  For example, Muslims don't eat anything with pork.  So hot dogs must be beef, no rice crispie squares (due to the gellatin), potatoes & ham must just be potatoes, etc.
