Muay thai was invented over 2000 years ago during the thai war when people still fought with swords. It was made so that if the people of thailand lost their weapons, they would use their bodies as weapons. It first started as military combat. When muay thai became more popular, it then became a sport. People started training at the age of six five hours a day every single day. During those times it was a battle to the death, no ref no nothing it was kill or be killed. Then muay thai was remade into modern muay thai like today cause the death rate was extremely high, so they remade it so that people could live.
