  1. Zürich Geschnetzeltes (veal meat with a creamy mushroom/white wine sauce)

Bündner Gerstensuppe (a hearty soup from the mountains)

Papete vaudoise (special pork sausages with creamy leek/potatoes)

Bündnerfleisch (dried beef very thinly scliced, delicious)

Bratwurst und Rösti (veal sausage/fried onions with fried, thinly scliced potatoes)

and not to talk about the famous cheese dishes.

Of course each region has their own specialities like the Italian part where many dishes like "Risotto ai funghi" (Italian style rice with mushroom/saffron).

    En Guete! Enjoy!

  2. Well food wise think lots of cheese - raclette, fondue, malakoff

Festivals - well there are hundreds...from contemporary music, to jazz and from short films to the escalade in December in Geneva which commemorates the defence of the city in the 14th Century....

If you want more specific information - email me through the site...I live near Geneva
