  1. New Approach  easily....

  2. Tartan Bearer has a great chance but i'm going to have to be boring and go for casual conquest.

  3. I like Tartan Bearer but if the ground is soft I think Tajaweed will have a better chance.

Tartan Bearer was a very impressive winner last time out but the ground was good/firm which suited his 'daisy cutter action'.  Tajaweed likes to get his toe in and some give in the ground.  He won a Group 3 at Chester over 10 furlongs, which is a similar track to Epsom so should handle the course.

Having backed New Approach in the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket and again in the 2,000 Guineas in Ireland I still feel that he has more to offer, and with the absence of Henry the Navigator he has the chance to prove he is the champion that he was last year.  So I make him my 2nd choice.

As a 2 year old he has beaten

Curtain Call, Fast Company and Rio de la Plata, very impressive to say the least and that's good enough for me.

So for me it's:   Tajaaweed and New Approach.

You didn't mention the Oaks but I only see one winner and that is the fantastic Lush Lashes.

Whatever happens its going to be a great weekend's racing.

Have fun and let's try and beat the bookies.

  4. Tartan Bearer is definitely one for the short list.  But something about New Approach has me thinking.  That's where my money is on the Derby.

  5. adore will be at least placed @ 10s. ill eat ,my babys poo if not!

  6. Henrythenavigator

  7. New Approach will handle the going and has the beating of most of these- oh and Katiyra looks goodish value in the Oaks
