  1. His standup is great, but an experience UFC fighter would successfully be able to "shoot" him to take him down, and its all down hill for Lee from there.

  2. I believe he can.  That guy is dangerous!

  3. I agree-I believe he can hang with UFC guys-his stand up is strong enough to dominate a fight.  If he wants to get good like Anderson Silva, he would need to work on his ground game more, which I'm sure he's doing

  4. 1- cung le's entrance int the UFC is still "new", although he does have a background, you are essentially matching a fighter with only 6 MMA fights under his belt against veterans. (granted, as I've said before san da rules does permit throws and takedowns but it is not full groundfighting)

2- he HAS a background in wrestling and bjj.  while he is not a submission fighter, he has definately fought in arenas where if he had no ability to defend grappling, he would not be an up and coming mma fighter. get that i said UP AND COMING, he is still untested to the degree that everyone wants to put the next sensation in with the "greats" right away.  it doesn't work like that.

3- I already covered the Pseudo grappling rules of san da so I guess I have no #3.

    - seriously, he is an up and coming fighter with lots of promise, lets not put the cart before the horse and just see wha the h**l this guy does.

thats what I love about fighting sports- unless you put money on someone you have no personal attatchment to the fighters (or you know them or are thier family) and are able to just watch and judge based on what is done and really appreciate the beauty of the martial sport.

they don't represent your city or state, they fight for themselves so no ties.

  5. i don't know if he can hang with the best at UFC... he definitely has amazing kicks so that always gives you a chance to win a fight by knockout... but we have not seen his ground game or his take down defense..... honestly... i think the best at UFC would take him down and beat him on the ground... either submission or ground and pound... but then again... like i said before... he always has a "kicker's" chance

  6. Like other people have said I havnt seen anything from him on the ground. Most of the fighters in the UFC are very proficient on the ground and I think he would be in trouble. That being said he does have a great kicking game, and very dangerous stand up. I just think guys in the UFC would tie him up and take him down and he wouldnt be able to utilize his skill.

  7. YES, I think that he's Sang Su (i think thats how its spelled) experience has showed him the kind of stand up one needs for MMA. Sang Su fights are like kick boxing, except the fighter is allowed to try to take down the opponent.

If he dosent have a ground game, he could just sprawl and brawl.
