Curators promise a sporting Wankhede pitch for the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Test - Cricket News Update

The curators of the Wankhede Stadium have promised a sporting track, offering constant bounce all through the third and the final Test of the three-match series between India and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760, commencing at the venue on Tuesday, November 22.
The Feroz Shah Kotla and Eden Gardens tracks for the first two tests of the series were heavily criticised for being flat wickets without much pace. But the pitch curator at Wankhede, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sudhir-Sakharam-Naik-c91655 said that they have prepared a sporting wicket with a tinge
of green and it will help the bowlers.
"It is a sporting track. There is some grass on it,” said Sudhir Naik while talking to the media reporters ahead of the inconsequential third Test of the series. “On the first three days it will assist the seamers and will help the spinners on the fourth
and fifth day. Even the West Indies bowlers would love bowling here," he added further.
The track used during the One Day International between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Naik-c78500 said that this time they have prepared a pitch different from the one used during India-England ODI.
Naik, a former Indian opener, said that breeze in the evening is likely to provide the bowlers additional assistance in the last session of the day.
Replying to a query regarding the anticipated totals for the dead rubber contest starting this Tuesday, Naik said that the average first innings score would be at least 350-400, given the hosts bat first.
"The average score would be at least 350-400 if India bat first. However, I cannot say the same about the West Indies team because their batting seems to be a little weak,” said Naik who had prepared a good sporting for the high profile World Cup final between
India and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 at the same venue on April 2 earlier this year.
"There will be good bounce throughout the match and the ball will come on nicely on to the bat. If batsmen like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SR-Tendulkar-c2556 get going, they are likely to score big runs," he added further.
India have already taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.
