My 9 month old daughter seems to have a really bad case of dry scalp. It doesn't appear to be cradle cap as it's all over her entire scalp and it's white. Has anyone had this issue? What did you do to cure it?

  1. I massaged her scalp with a little olive oil, and didnt rince. This worked within two days.

  2. rub some vaseline into the scalp with a soft bristle toothbrush.  It worked for my son.

  3. I use baby lotion that is called oil lotion. I also use a comb while I wash her hair to get al the dry stuff out then put that in her hair and she is fine now. I wash her with Moisturizing wash by johnson and johnson too! It is all gone now but it took like 2-3 weeks to go away!

  4. my doc said to soak her head with baby oil, let it sit for about an hour (i put  a hat on her to keep it from getting everywhere..LOL), then to take a soft brush or soft toothbrush and lightly brush it with the oil in it, then wash it out; worked for me and we haven't had anymore probs...hope that helps...

  5. my daughter is almost ten months and has the same issue. bathe her daily and run a comb through her hair during shampooing. this helps my daughter. i am curious to see what other answers you get...

  6. use baby oil! Even before bath time, that way the shampoo wont dry out her scalp too much.

  7. i use head and shoulders for my four month old its worked wonders my pediatrician recommended it. just be careful not to get it in her eyes
