  1. Nice observation meat!  I wonder that myself too!  I truly hope that women desperate to vote for a woman in this election do their due diligence....and understand her stances.  And I hope others, who criticized Obama for his lack of experience, recognize the hypocricy of McCain's choice.  Lets face it, both presidential candidates may have a short life span, for different reasons, and the VP candidates may have a VERY important role to play in the future....

  2. lol. yes i do.

  3. Being a traditionalist doesn't specify which tradition.

  4. well, i don't know if that's completely true. she doesn't have much to do in Alaska, now does she? although, if she becomes VP, she'll have a boatload more work on her hands. She is a traditionalist in the sense that most of her views are those of old, Caucasian men, like abortion, oil, etc. she differs only in the fact that she is a woman. i suppose she's a bit of a feminist--you know, going where no other woman went before--but it's hard for me to see her as one. she has five kids and brought a daughter to her political rally with mcCain. idk if that was her idea or her press managers...you're probably right about the cookie baking and slipper fetching thing. i think she's a headstrong woman who has traditional views. actually, a bit of a hypocrite. i guess that makes two of them. do we really want two hypocrites running our country?

  5. It's basically a part time job. Alaska has more Alaskan Fur Seals than people.

  6. I think she's the bane of my existence.

I dunno. I'm way too wrapped up in this. This election decides my future. If America is so alarmingly stupid as to put a Republican in office again I'm leaving the military and moving to Australia. No one has a problem with Australia.

  7. I care far less about politicians personal lives , than I do their ability to do their jobs.

  8. She's a traditional neo-conservative: preaching morality, practicing only what suits, and cozying up to business. That's about the size of her traditionalism.

Doesn't every American politician claim religiosity, traditional values and hide any homosexuality? The only ticket to getting elected is how "American" your values are.

  9. Exactly. There is this conservative pundit named Caitlin Flanagan who is constantly berating working mothers. Someone once pointed out that she herself is a working mother, and that she is in New York on a press tour while her 5 year old son is back at their home in California with his father.

These types reap all the benefits feminism allowed them to have, and then they denounce it in the public forum. Why do they do this? I believe it is partially to pander to idiots who will vote for/buy the products of/watch whoever screams "traditional values" loud enough. I also think it is because they are nutjobs themselves.

  10. She's one of those Republican women who takes her power where she can get it, then encourages (subliminally or otherwise) other women to get all their power at home.

  11. I have no idea who this person is, but does it matter?

  12. What sexist c**p. Just because she pees standing up doesn't mean she isn't as feminine as the other governors. She is even cuter than Arnold1

  13. Well, she seems to have plenty of time for shooting things.

Maybe that's the 'traditional' part of her outlook ~ "me hunter, you moose" type of thing.

    Cheers :-)
