Curious Cat Question...lol.

I've been thinking about cat foods, and I'm wondering, if I blended a couple of eggs, (cooked) salmon, (cooked) chicken, and some milk, would it be safe for the cat to eat? Would it be able to nutritionally substitute cat food?

:P

  1. Um some people say that cats should not eat eggs, but some people say it is okay..I am sure if you google cat food recipes, you will find some good recipes, I am sure the salmon and chicken would be good!!..But a cat needs more than that..

I use meow mix indoor blend...and my cat loves it and it makes her coat shiny and soft

  2. No. I don't think that milk for humans is good for cats. Do some research and see if there is a recipe for a home made cat food. I would not attempt to do this without good knowledge of cat nutritional needs. I am sure that there is something that would be safe for her but I am wondering why you have chosen this path. It will probably cost you more to feed a home based meal. I hope you find the info your looking for.

  3. Purina and Whiskas?  Bad..

    Meow mix?  Bad..

    Milk?  Bad..

or at least, not so great.

  4. I feed my cats dry Iams. I have an older cat and I feed him soft Iams (his preference). The vet told me that Friskies, Whiska, and Purina were lower quality.

  5. Safe as a treat? Sure.

Good idea for a food? No. It does not have all the appropriate varieties that the food you purchase does.

I'd say purina cat food :).

But, no. Eggs, salmon chicken and milk are NOT everything a cat needs. It needs minerals as well.
