My SIL is having IVF and is hopefully pregnant right now!! but every since she started i am very interested in the ivf process and curious about it, (she doesnt talk about it to us, which is fair enough). just wondering if you have numerous eggs put in and have no bleeding does that mean that you are definatly preg with twins? can you loose an egg and not bleed?? Goodluck all you ladies out there may you be blessed soon as you deserve to be..

  1. therez no surety tht u must get pregnant wth IVF,its all in the hands of ALLAH.bst of luck!

  2. IVF is a very emotional process so I understand your SIL's privacy about the matter. It's nice that you have become this interested in the process.

No matter how many embryoes are placed in her uterus, the only way she will know if she is pregnant is if she doesn't get a period -- just like normal conception. Most American fertility clinics will only insert a maximum of three embryoes at a time. All three could attach, two could, one could or none at all. So if she chose to insert two embryoes doesn't mean that she will have twins.

Can you loose an egg and not bleed? Well yes and no. She could insert two embryoes, one could attach and the other not and she would not bleed but she would be pregnant. Or she could insert two embryoes, none could attach and she could not be pregnant.

    Good Luck to your SIL.

  3. It is possible to put in more than one embryo and not have them all stick . . . the body will simply absorb the one that did not stick / the one that did not successfully implant in the uterus usually without any significant bleeding (some women may experience spotting . . . but it could also be implantation bleeding so this is not an indicator of anything).

Basically, yes, you could lose one without having any bleeding - the embryo that they transfer is microscopic and in most cases, your body will simply absorb it.

Good luck to your sister . . . the wait is tough!
