  1. well if you (or whoever) arent going to tell them about the second child obviously you dont need the money for the child. you can always tell the father about the child and dont collect any child support. why does it have to be know about the child and get money...or dont know about the child and no money? i think its fair for bother father and child that the father knows about his child.

  2. Maybe this person should have thought about the economic impact of having a baby BEFORE he got someone else pregnant?

  3. I believe not knowing about the child would be much more painful. My husband pays child support on his first son and has to deal with  A LOT of problems from his ex-wife who tries to stop visitation and tells such unbelievable lies to try to help that along. But in  the long run, he'll put up with everything to get every little scrap of visitation we can get in order to see his son. We've spent sooooo much money on lawyers and court to get hardly any visitation (she is a very good liar) but we would do it again and again in order to see Jon. Most states will balance the child support out for 2 children. Meaning if he pays so much for 1, when child number 2 comes along, they will lower child support for child 1 a little so he can also pay child support for child 2 without taking his whole paycheck.

  4. Family relationships are much more important than any amount of money, struggling or not.
