Curl synthetic clip in hair extensions..w/out heat appliances?

so i just bought some hair extensions to clip in to add a little funk to my hair.

theyre purple and i have curly hair..now i can always straighten my hair then wear them normally..but i was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to curl them without heat appliances?

maybe by using some mousse and wrapping it around a pencil? has anyone tried this?

it says use no heat appliances on the extensions..so i need some tips to wear them with curly hair!
