Curosity about ovulation period and s*x ?

I am a curious 29 yr old virgin guy . I was told that girls have there ovulation cycles every 14 days and at the end of this cycle they are like an animal in the heat .During this period they initiate s*x with guys they know or invite any person whos accessible . 1. Is this true ? 2. Are women willing to have s*x (without a relationship) during the ovulation period ? 3. Is it women who inititiate s*x and not men ?

Humans are animals, but we do not have animalistic desires. We may be horny during ovulating and again later in the month with our period, but we know how to control ourselves.  Do not expect a women to just jump into bed with you just because she is ovulating and has a better chance to get pregnant that day, as opposed to an earlier day in the month.
