  1. The currency is the colon (plural colones).  $1 US buys roughly 500 colones.

The clothing I bought in CR were all foreign cast offs (which is very common.  They  have thrift shops that deal in foreign returns.  In the shop that I went to there were clothes that still had tags in dollars, yen, won, and currency I couldn't identify.)

  2. www.ex.com will give you the current exchange rate for all the world's currencies

  3. The currency is colones and I don't know the rest.  I looked at tshirts and they were s,m,l,xl etc but these are for tourists.

  4. The currency in Costa Rica is called the colon...there are about 505 colons in one U.S. dollar.  That means that about 5 colons are worth one U.S. penny.  See  site below for cuurnecy exchange info.  I could not find any info on clothing sizes.  Hope you hear from someone with firsthand knowledge about that.

  5. Hmmm...well on clothes  s, m, l, for shirts,  pants 2 different sizing, for example I'm a 10 in pants, or a 30,  it's the same thing, u can find those 2 sizing in pants, shoes go from 32 to 44 or more, I'm a 36 wich is the average shoe size for women.
