Currency of the Republic of Texas 1840?

How Much would a 500 dollar note of the Republic of Texas be valued today if it was issued June 1, 1840? I have a about 1291 count in Republic of texas currency so i need to know how much a 500 would be...

Im so bummed....  I was looking up things my gramma gave me in my coin/paper $ collection, and ! came across a 1840 $3 promissory note... I thought I was rich, for a minute, until I looked it up, and found a "bogus notes" page, clicked on the 40... and found a picture of the same bill I held in my hand... Gramma teases me still from the grave... Way to Go Gramma!!

I had been checking too. I did find out that they were still issuing these through September 1840. That is from a Texas history website-wish I had saved the name for you.
