Current Exchange gets the best odds for Sika-Trocal Hunters´ Chase
Current Exchange has been awarded with the best odds for Sika-Trocal Hunters´ Chase at Chepstow in England on Thursday, March 22, 2012. The triumphant horse will bag a cash prize of £922.
A total of 13 entries have been confirmed for the class-6 event, which is scheduled to start at 4:55 GMT, and their names are: Cave Hill, Current Exchange, Lorikarad, Findlay´s Find, Mr Robert, Gershwinner, Little Rocker, Marblehead, Gemini Ahhs, Tallanstown
Boy, Minella For Food, Roseini and Wotsdasituation.
The going will be good to soft over the 3 mile race, which will be a stern test of stamina for the runners.
Although Current Exchange has never taken part in any chase races, he has a very decent record in PTP events. He has entered eight of them, winning seven, which shows that he is a quality runner.
Other than his seven victories, the seven-year-old gelding has also managed to secure on third place finish, which shows that he has never ended up outside the top three. This is why the bookmakers have given him good odds and the punters will also be placing
quite a lot of bets in his favour.
Mrs Edward Crow’s trainee will be partnered by Tom David, who is relatively new to the sport. However, the young jockey has earned 11 chase victories in his career and has a decent strike rate.
Findlay´s Find is also expected to make an impression today. He does have some experience of chase races, but has been unable to win any of them. He is still considered to be a quality runner, thus the bettors will risk money in his favour.
The six-year-old gelding will be ridden by Miss C. V. Hart, who is new to the sport, but has managed to win a race while chasing once. She will be looking forward to deliver a strong result today.
Other than the top two favourites, Cave Hill will also be the one to watch out for. He has taken part in three chase races, winning one of them. Apart from that, he also secured a third place finish once, which means there was only one occasion, where he
failed to end up in top three.
It seems that the real battle will be between the top three runners, as the rest of the horses are not in good shape at the moment.
