Current Have H1B visa till 2009 and already have EAD, never worked on EAD?

So can i change my employer who got my EAD, I-140 already approved I-485 pending. So what all do i need to tell my new employer to do in order for me to work for him and not mess up my Green card?

  1. If your I-485 has been pending more than 180 days, you can change your employer based on AC 21.

  2. According to AC-21 Act, you can change employer in the same field after filing I-485 form 180 days.

    But it is safer to apply for new H-1B from the new employer, not use EAD to work for the new employer. Because if your I-485 is rejected by USCIS, then your EAD will be invalid, so you will lose your legal status and you can not work in US any more.
