Current events in spanish speaking countries?

I got a assignment to find an article about what is happening in spanish speaking countries. I kinda waited/forgot because of other school assignments and now I cant seem to find an article. Im not sure if it has to be weekly events or a couple months. But weekly events would be nice. I heard that Gustav (Tropical Storm or Hurricane idk) Hit a country thats suppose to be spanish speaking.

Can anyone help out? Its due friday. If anyone knows a link to where gustav hit that Spanish speaking country then please send me that link.

Just do a search for Hurricane Gustav. It has run over Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and more Carribbean countries that speak Spanish. Now it is headed toward America, and plenty of Spanish is spoken here as well. Good luck with your homework!
