I know it went up to $8.00/hr in Jan. of this year, but I have been hearing that it was lowered to $6.75. Does anyone know if this is true?

  1. I think the reason for you misunderstanding is a result  of California having a "state minimum wage" While the federal government has it's minimum wage which was recently  5.15 per hour while California was 8.00 per hour because the cost of living is so much higher in Cali the state raised it.States are aloud to raise there minimum wages higher than the federal minim wage but not lower.  If you live in Cali  the federal minimum wage will not effect your workforce.     You can thank the democrats for the higher minum wages. Most republican states in the south simply adopt federal minium wages because there slave states.
