Current produced produced more efficiently & the cheapest way to produce electric current from organic waste?

how efficiently we can produce electric current efficiently from organic waste ? the process should be compact & can be handled out in home by any person at a very small time for even a hour or so.it should be something innovative & for the welfare of whole humankind whom they are unaware of.

There are two says I know of: depending on the waste. I'll come to the cheapest and innovative part later.

If the waste is biodigestable, you can have a biogas plant, producing methane (or lets just say, biogas).

If the waste is not biodigestable, you can have a gasifer, producing, well producer gas (CO+H2).

methane or producer gas should be futher used to run a modified diesel engine or better yet, a micro gas turbine.

compactness? well... the biodigesters are easy to maintain but not compact - you can raise the temperature to 70 C or so, and try to get the plant to be compact (at 30 C, it has to contain 30 days worth of waste, if not more).

the gasifier should be pretty compact.

innovation? well, if you can make them automated enough to be used in every home, that will be innovation by itself. but as things are now, it is almost impossible to imagine a machine sitting at everyones home to do this task.
