When you miss somebody trying to get hold of you by like 5 minutes, and then you can't get back to them??

Not unless it's important and they know I'm trying to reach them. Sometimes phone tennis just happens. I normally find it quite funny.

Yes - that totally does my head in! I sometimes find even if I ring back IMMEDIATELY that they don't answer. How does that work?!

well nor really cuuse if my friends need me weally badly they take turns to stay on their puters in 24 hour shifts, that way someone is bound to know when i log on ... tisnt that wight busy my bezzie xx

Ugh, I know.

Especially when it's a call you need quickly like, it's quarter past 8 and you're trying to call your mate to see where you're meeting her at half 8.

I usually leaveher to it and go to the place we plan to go to. Especially if there are already mates there.

Or, I just go out somewhere else with someone else. Usually my boyfriend.

She was the one who didn't answer her phone. s***w HER!

Currently no it doesnt.

What is currently annoying me is that I am currently trying to get through to a certain Inland Revenue office and they are currently unable to answer my call and have been for the last 3 hours.

Yup.  I get a missed call from a friend LITERALLY like 5 seconds ago.  Then when I try to call back, no one picks up...WTF?

Oh yeh....big time...then it takes you hours to find them..then you give up...then then try and get in touch 2 mins later, and you arent asbout..grrr

yeah it happened to me yesterday!

My friend rang me and just as I answered she hung up

I couldn't ring her back because I've had mobile calls barred on my phone (trying to keep the bills down lol)

I thought I'd be clever and make up a random pin I'd never remember

My plan worked, I can't remember the bloody pin number I need to get the calls back on!

she still ain't rung me back

Many years ago a friend said to me 'why can't you go on the telephone like anyone else? When I come round to see you you are always out! It would save me a journey'

I got a phone installed later on. But not because of her.

She then said 'why don't you get an answering machine. You never seem to be in when I call'  Later on I did get an answering machine but not because of her.

She then said 'whenever I ring you I always get your answering machine.'  Well, I was out! That's what they are for!  Why should any of these things make a difference to how I live my life?

As to mobile phones and e-mail the same applies. People say your phone was switched off or your e-mail had an 'out of office' response.

I spoke to her recently (she is still a huge friend) and arranged to meet her later that day at a specific time and at a specified pub. As she left she said 'I'll text you'
