Currently Iam in h4 visa,Want to do Phd,is it possible?

I Want to pursue Phd degree,done masters in india,currently in h4.Having GRE score 840also toeffl 223score,written a 2 years ago,is it a must to write these exams again?is it possible to do phd in h4 visa? stayed in MA ,u.s.a for 18 months.any chance to get instate tuition fees?pls answer..

  1. The H-4 classification is a nonimmigrant, temporary classification, not a permanent resident classification. You are allowed to attend school full-time as an H-4. You could attend school as an H-4 until your I-94 expires.

    There are 50 states in the country. Some may consider you eligible for instate tuition fees and some may not. You'd have to ask the school.

    As for the exams, you'd have to ask the school. This is an immigration forum, not an academic forum.
