I'm just completely clueless! I'd ask a teacher or something, but I'm still on summer vacation... FYI, I'm going to be a junior and I started independent study my sophomore year due to truancy/home issues/blahblahblah. I went from F's (freshman year, normal schooling) to A's & B's (soph, Ind. Study) and for junior year I'm planning on doing a lot of community service, gain work experience, study my butt off for the SAT, etc. I've been researching a bunch of universities and they pretty much require foreign language classes & other stuff that my independent study/home-school program doesn't cover. I'm bilingual anyway (went back & forth to two diff. countries most of my childhood), but does it still matter? Do certain universities make exceptions for students like me?? Or is community college the way to go first?
Also, I'd like some tips regarding the SAT; like, what's a good prep book, what to expect, etc. Wait, is it all about getting a high score on the SAT that'll get me into a good college?
Man, it's all so kind of overwhelming for me because I wanted nothing more but to drop out of school less than a year ago! Give me a little guidance, I feel so clueless!
Oh, I'm from California, if that helps answer my questions in a CA-level whatever lol.
Those are a lot of questions, but any help's appreciated. Thanks!
Another thing: I'm not the over-achiever type with the strict parents, but does becoming a doctor or dermatologist seem too far off from my future? Do I HAVE to be THAT type to achieve something?
I know, I know, too many questions. I'd be lucky to get an answer, sheez LOL sorry!
PEACE!
