Right now we have the Comcast Triple Play, which we are paying about $115 a month with our promotion deal. We originally only had phone with them, but we needed to find better internet, so we went with Comcast. We figured it'd be cheaper to just do the Triple Play because essentially, it'd cost the same price with or without the cable tv. However, my dad says $115 a month is a lot to be paying. So a friend of his, who is a representative for FHTM told him that he can provide internet service for as little as $16.95. When my dad told me, I knew it was a lie and possibly a scam. I've been doing research, and while I don't think FTHM is a scam, I figured out why the internet was so cheap. It isn't high-speed internet, but rather, it's dial-up internet. However, I just want to make sure that I am processing this through my mind correctly. I need some reassurance that the internet they are talking about is dial-up, and not high-speed.
