Cursed or bizarre coincidence? (love problems and the letter "S")

Hey,

I'm wondering if the bad luck I've had in my love life is all down to coincidence or something more? This thought only recently came to me when I was talking to my friend recounting all my "love failures".

When I was 17 I had a boyfriend whose first name begins with "S". I'll call him Sam (not real name of course). Anyway, at 17 I broke off my 2 year relationship with Sam. 18 months later I started seeing someone else - Chris. Sam immediately called me and yelled at me for finding someone else "as soon as we broke up". I tried to explain it had been 18 months which is a fair amount of time, but he wouldn't listen and told me that "Chris will make me cry and cry and cry and anyone else will make me cry and cry and I will never be happy with anyone else except him." At the time I took it as an upset young man and nothing else.

Here's the thing. I'm now 34 and single and the major love events reads like this:

* After seven years with Chris, he ran off after we got engaged with a Spanish woman and lives in Spain.

* A second fiance also ran off with a Spanish woman.

* After many years of working on myself to get over both of these, I got involved in a long distance relationship with a man in Europe who on my last day there broke the news to me that he had met someone else by the name of Sarah.

* My latest interest is now leaving and moving to Sweden so I've just come to the end of another bad love situation.

And yes, I've cried and cried and cried more than my family and friends can believe.

Here's my question: my ex's name begins with an "S" and all these events came to an end with something starting with "S". Seven, Spain, Spain, Sarah, Sweden.

Coincidence? Cursed? Sam's Greek and I know they can do these things either intentionally or unintentionally. If I'm cursed what do I do?

well i think its not a curse becauz you had boyfriends right. in my opinion i say its just in your head just dont let it affect you becaus people come and go in and out of your life.

maybe cause i don't think he could have put a curse on you

The only curse is in your own mind.  That doesn't mean it isn't real.  Sam was obviously very convincing and if you want to follow this curse to its conclusion you'd have to kill him to end it.  Not very practical as you would then be in jail.

The letter 's' is so common that is would be impossible to avoid it.  Now if you said all your love interests were all men with a first initial of 's' or the first of the last name.  Then it might have looked more like a curse.  For some reason Sam made you feel guilty.  So with out any consious intention you chose men who would hurt you or you did things to run them off.  If you truly want to have a good relationship find a good counsilor and have them help you identify how you 'cursed yourself' with Sam's help.

And I hope you don't go back to him.
