Question:

Cursed with thin, limp hair which won't stay straight! =[?

Okay, I am cursed thin, limp flyaway hair that won't keep a style for 10 minutes. I have layers which I am trying to go out to make my hair thicker towards the ends. At the moment, I can get body at the top of my hair but the towards the bottom it is limp and looks as though I have just got out of bed. After trying hair extensions of all sorts (recently clip ins) I have given up because they go so dry easily.

I am starting college tomorrow and I want my hair to look really sleek and nice. I want to wear it down but are there any techniques (not products, I haven't got time) to keep the hair straight? Could conditioner be making the ends limp? Will mousse make the ends hold the straight for longer? Advice please!

Thanks.

  1. Not sure whether or not you blow-dry, but that could be the problem.  I have similar hair, and if I don't blow-dry it, it looks limp, frizzy, wavy & whacked out all at once! haha.  Definitely use a styling product like mouse (only a little) before blow-drying.

Another problem could be your water.  Soft water & filtered water improves the texture.  Hair Products by Jonathan sell a shower-head filter, which you can find on sephora.com.

'Hope this helped in some way. G'luck!

  2. Wet your hair down, brush through

Wait until damp, then put a little hairspray to hold,

I would suggest blow-drying a little so it'll feel softer,

I use Aussie Products, they smell fruity and good, and work,

  3. Hey!

Well I Think Your Hair Sounds Okay! I Wish I Had Thin Hair! My Hairs Course And Wont Stay Straight!! =[ But Anyway I Think You Should Straighten Your Hair In, Don't Flick Out With The Straightener, And Yes Moose Will Defiantly Work After You've Straightened It..

    Good Luck
