Curtis Good completes Newcastle move

Newcastle United have completed the transfer of Australian defender Curtis Good from the A-League.
The young Australian was set to join the Magpies after acquiring a work permit last week and has finally completed the switch.
Good was on trial with the club back in June and trained with the squad during his short time at Tyneside. The defender impressed manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew to an extent that the manager started making preparations to sign him permanently.
It is understood that the 19-year old is rated very highly by Pardew and is expected to feature in his long term plans for the club.
Having only played in his homeland so far, this move will prove to be a defining moment of the youngster’s career. The player was signed from Australian side Melbourne Heart and is held in high regard by the club’s management and administration.
Melbourne Heart’s football operations manager John Didulica was full of praise for Good before he made the move to Tyneside.
Speaking to the press last week, he said: "Newcastle formally wrote to us and they were extremely positive about Curtis' time there and him as a person and that reflects well on the club and the A-League."
Good’s former manager also had good things to say about the defender and wished him luck in his career.
"It's a fantastic opportunity for Curtis. Newcastle United is one of the biggest clubs in the United Kingdom, and we are absolutely delighted he has the opportunity to test his wares on such a stage.”
"We wish Curtis well and hope he will one day return to don the red and white stripes of our club."
The highly rated centre-half managed 25 A-League appearances for his former club during the 2011/2012 season and is expected to link up with his Newcastle teammates once they return from their training camp in Algarve, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984. The player is understood
to have signed a six-year deal with the Magpies and will join the likes of Fabricio Coloccini, Mike Williamson and Steven Taylor at the heart of Newcastle’s defence.
The player will be hoping to learn from his seniors and make an impact in the prestigious black-and-white jersey. Good’s transfer to Newcastle is believed to be around the figure of $600,000.
