I would like to find my real father. I am not looking for money or anything of those sorts. I would just like to see what he looks like, to hear his voice, to see why he wasn't in my life. His name is Curtis Stephens and he used to work at the Kirby Lumber Mill in Cleveland, TX. This would have been around 1983. My mothers name is Kathleen Swarthout. He had red hair at the time and would have probably been born between 1952-1963. If you know of anyone that matches this description please email me!!

  1. There are many men by that name who lived in Cleveland during that time. I can't reprint info here, but I can make a couple of suggestions.

First, start here and figure out which of the dozens of men with that name might have been your father: http://www.people-finders.ws/Summary.asp...

If Kirby Lumber was still in business you could write a letter to your dad and ask them to fill in information on the letter and forward it to the Social Security Letter Forwarding unit. But if you don't even know his date of birth, and if they're out of business, you don't have enough information for SSLF to work. Of course, don't forget to try Classmates.com and Reunion.com. They really do work to find people. Lots of us kept in touch with somebody from HS and would never turn down a call from someone we've known for 20+ years telling us that someone is trying to find us.
