Curtly Ambrose lashes out at http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 rules crippling fast bowlers - Cricket News update

http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Owais-Alam-Shah-c80369 pacer for West Indies, has lashed out at the ICC law makers who have penalised the bowlers with a free hit for over stepping, in the One Day International format.
He believed that the batsmen were benefitting more from such rules and the bowlers ended up as being the losers.
Ambrose also pointed out the strict rules against bouncers, where once again, the bowlers are at the receiving end since they are allowed to deliver one bouncer in an over.
The glamour of fast bowling is diminishing just because of such rules, where the bowlers are handicapped only for the benefit of the batsmen.
He further commented, “It is hard when you bowl a bumper and the batsman hook you for a six or four and when you turn around, you see the umpire giving you a signal as one. Where is http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Thomas-George-Burrows-c93472he fairness when the bowler can’t hit back at the batsman with another bumper because he will be penalised.”
Curtley Ambrose was the most devastating bowler of his time and was a sign of fear for the batsmen. He was lethal and accurate.
Ambrose has played 176 ODIs and claimed 225 wickets at an average of 24.12 runs per wicket, with the best of 5 for 17 runs.
He played his last Test match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760. The match was played at Antigua, on June 11, 2011.
Ambrose anticipated there should be some penalties for the batsmen as well which can create some more interest in the game. He questioned, “How come batsmen are not penalised when they do wrong things?”
He looks forward to equal limitations for batsmen and bowlers for fairness in Cricket.
