Custom Cut eyeing the Site Serve Supporting Enable Ireland Handicap for bagging the seasonal hat trick
An entry who has not wavered from improving tremendously after rolling into the 2012 season is the George K. Tent trained, Custom Cut. The Site Serve Supporting Enable Ireland Handicap is the sixth outing for the three-year-old. The seven furlong race at Naas is scheduled for Wednesday, 11th July, and the six three-year-old runners who have assembled will contest for the €8,970 prize money.
The five outings of Notnowcato’s gelding saw him improving from the seventh position to pairing up wins through the last two races.
His seasonal debut on 2nd May, 2012 in the www.dundalkstadium.com 3YO Handicap at Dundalk over seven furlongs saw him finishing seventh as the favourite entry, Elusive In Paris, claimed the race.
The improvement was evident in the very next outing that the three-year-old out of mare, Polished Gem, under took.
He qualified as the runner-up in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund 3YO Median Auction Maiden on 15th May, 2012 at Killarney over a mile and half a furlong.
Custom Cut had to compromise on the success by a mere neck’s margin. The joint favourite of the race, Van Rooney, won as Quick Jack, took up the third slot.
Third race down the season had him finishing third in the www.listowelraces.IE Median Auction Maiden on 3rd June, 2012 at Listowel over a mile. One Fine Day came clean with the expectations and won the race.
Low Low Handicap on 17th June, 2012 at Cork over seven furlongs promised Custom Cut the seasonal success after he led during the final furlong and held on to it till the wire. Riding with jockey, Danny Grant, the winner claimed the race by the margin of 2 ¾ lengths.
The Moyglare Stud Farm Ltd bred maintained the similar status when racing in the Value Cabs Rated Race on 23rd June, 2012 at Down Royal over seven furlongs.
Not only did he land the race, he pulled it off as the favourite entry on the same pattern as he got the previous race under his belt.
It is only the distance that is the same otherwise the jockey and the venue both are different. The back-to-back striker will get paired up with jockey, Ronan Whelan today and the two have been allotted the third gate.
