Custom Made Quilts - Where Can I Buy ?

Question

hi i'd like to buy a custom quilt, custom made as in have my photo on it (of the family) but i don't know where i can order/buy them.

I'm not sure if you could order something like that, i mean I'm sure somewhere theres some place that would do it, but what i would do, is ask around your town your family and friends ask if anyone likes to sew or does any quilting, if not, put an ad in the paper or on a public notice board. or if theres any community centers or something where they have quilting classes or meetings. Theres alot of people that like to quilt, and i personally think it would be better to work with someone locally on something like that, Maybe find some older lady who likes quilting, talk to them about what you want, how big and what not, maybe even goto the fabric store with them to pick out the types and colors of fabric you like.  that way you can pay for all the fabric and materials upfront, and all you'll be paying them for is labor once its finished.

Edit-- be generous about paying for the labor, quilting takes alot of time and patience. and when first meeting with the person ask if they machine quilt or do it by hand, and ask to see some examples of quilts they've already made, most people love showing off there work anyway and will prolly offer some examples.  if you dont have a certain quilt pattern in mind, ask them what they think, or what kind they like to do, nearly everyone has a favorite type they like, or they think is easiest. :)
