Custom duties in France for importing comic books?

I'm planning to import 300 copies of comic books from the Philippines to France...... I've only computed the shipping costs.... Are there other costs involved like custom and duties, tax, etc?....

and also the shipping will be sponsored by the French embassy.... would some of the charges be free?

the receiver of goods usually pay duties and tax, depend on the value of the books, if they are free gifts then nothing.
