Custom duty on new TV from USA to India?

I want to take a new TV from USA to India with me.

Just wanted to know if it invites any custom duty on it?

And if it does then how much?

  1. You are entitled for duty free allowance of Rs. 25,000/- per passenger.  If the goods you carry exceeds the valuation of Rs. 25,000/- you have to pay Customs Duty at the rate of 35.7 percent for the excess goods.
