  1. well if u have 1.5 u can do it u need the m33updates and if u have 3.5 u cant so u need a magic memory stick and pandora battery thier high in price i had my friend do it for me and i paid 2 bucks to have it done

  2. u need a pandoras battery(hacked version of a regular psp battery) and a magic memstick(memory stick with programs on it) to install custom firmware. the easiest way is to ask around to see if u know anybody that has a pandoras battery that'll do it for u than u have to make 1 urself. custom firmware(cfw) allows u to run cool programs on the psp as well play downloaded games and other stuff right off ur mem stick. here are your options

1.go buy a regular psp battery(to make one urself or in case u mess up) or buy a pandoras battery online for $10.50 here: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sk...

    2. if you'd rather make 1 urself using ur own battery,  follow this vid(this involves opening the battery and lifting a pin in the circuits):

after u make it, u cant use the batt as a regular psp battery. u have to go through another process to make it work as a psp batt again, but even if u get it working, it wont fit right in the psp after u open it up like that and tape it back together. so its easier to buy an extra batt or buy it pre made. as for the memstick follow the intructions in the vid. it'll show u how to make it ther 2.
