Question:

Custom fortune cookies as wedding favors?

I was planning to give out custom fortune cookies as the favors inside a mini chinese togo box. since the wedding will be in a chinese restaurant, can this even be considered as favors? I know some people will leave right after the cake cutting, so should they be passed out right after the cakes?

That can definitely be considered a favor. I recommend placing them on the table at each place setting. That way they can take them whenever they please. That is a great idea of you! Very clever and cute! I did little Hershey kisses wrapped in tulle (they matched our wedding colors of red and silver) with cute little bows that had our names printed on them. :) Congratulations on your wedding! I hope it goes storybook perfect for you!

you can dip the fortune cookies in almonds, and just put them on the table before the reception as part of the decore...it's a cute idea...heres a pic

What a cute idea! Try this site www.aweddingfavorite.com They have such unique ideas that I bet they have something like this. The favors are usually put at the table place settings so that people already have them whenever they are ready to leave.

I think it's a very cute idea since the wedding will be in a chinese restaurant. Since they're custom in a mini box I think people would consider it a favor.. as long as you put your names, wedding date, etc. on a little tag or sticker on the box. Maybe you could get the boxes in a color other than white if you want them to look more exciting than the ordinary chinese togo box. You can put all the favors on the tables before it starts so you don't have to worry about it later.

favors are generally left on teh table at each seat, so they are not passed out, theya re there waiting for the guests.

Sure it can be your favors! I wouldn't wait to put them out, just one more hastle for you. Just put them on everyone's plates before the meal even comes! It's always nice to have something to munch on before the meal! Good luck and congrats!

cute idea! tie a gold ribbon on each one. wedding favors are usually on the table at each place setting before guests arrive. so whenever they leave, they will know to take them.

I am sorry but I am not responding to your question I am responding to all the people that say favours are a waste of money.  Favours are a thank you to your guests as they have come to celebrate with you and your new husband/wife.  Those of you that sent out a donation in their name.  GIVE ME A BREAK.  If I went to a wedding and on the place card was a note saying a donation has been made in your name for the rainforest I would be pissed.  If you want to make a donation thats great but don't make it in someone else name,.  Use the money you get from the wedding gifts.  Use your own money you a$$holes.

Anyways I am sorry I think its a good idea to have fortune cookies as your favour.  I was thinking about itbut decided against it.  I also agree with putting them on the plate before or you could put them in a big wicker basket and people can grab them if they want them
