  1. You can either hire a collection agency to try to collect or you can sell the debt to an agency for a discount.  Legally, you can go to court for a judgment against the customer (depending on the size of the claim, you might be able to go through small claims which is less expensive).  If you get a judgment, you could ask the judge for a garnishment of wages, under which you would receive automatic payments from the customer until the debt was paid off.

Lastly, check with the credit reporting agencies to check out the process for reporting past due accounts and follow through.

  2. If the amount is under a certain amount ( I think 700 dollars) You can go to small claims court with the evidence. Otherwise I think you need an attorney

  3. If sending bills didn't work, you could sue and get a judgment.  Depending on what kind of business you are in, a mechanic's lein may also be an option.

  4. Call the collection agency! They're there for a reason.

  5. cheapest way is to file in small claims court. but when you go be prepared to prove that you have sold goods and services to the customer and show all payments made by them.

  6. If uk you could take it to a small claims court.  There is a cost to file a claim but you don't need a solicitor.

  7. Get a solicitor to write a letter
