  1. Cuernavaca is a very close city to Mexico City, in fact it's the recreational town for "chilangos" to spend a relaxing weekend because of its beautiful weather. Its sunny almost all year.

So the customs are not different from other mexican big towns: If you are coming they might kiss you in the cheek as a greeting.

    2. People may pat your back just for no reason but friendliness.

    3. They eat everything, from italian and greek cuisine, to local dishes such as fried crickets, "carnitas" (fried pork) and lots of chile.. But no one will ever force you to eat anything, though.

    4. Despite its closeness to MXCTY, people are still very friendly and anybody can say "hola" to you in the street. You should greet them back.

    5. Courtesy towards women is still very deep so men are expected to pay restaurant checks, open you doors, and such.

    6. Partying is more or less wild on weekend nights when chilangos go looking for bars, but don't behave as a typical "gringo" springbreaker, because it's not well seen.

    7. If you come to Mexico, you are expected to enjoy the country, the people and yourself. Have fun!
