Customs restrictions for sending food to France?

I'm trying to find out what I can/can't send to France, but google is coming up with all the wrong kinds of sites, can someone point me to the correct link?

  2. I can't suggest any links (other than the official site of French Customs http://www.douane.gouv.fr/menu.asp?id=49...

    As a general rule though, anything that is sealed at the factory that it is produced isn't a problem. (My parents always managed to send me the fixings for Thanksgiving dinner without any problem.)  The only time you have issues is if you're trying to send produce or homemade products.

  3. I wanted to send my father some edibles last Christmas and I was told that someone would have to come to the airport at Montpellier to clear them through customs. Is this a new rule? I used to send foodstuffs before with no problem....
