Cut Across hot favourite for Betfair Brings You Better Value Handicap
Cut Across has been awarded with the best odds for winning the Betfair Brings You Better Value Handicap at Brighton in England on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. The winner of the class-5 event will walk away with a cash prize of £2,264.
The going will be good to firm in the 5 furlong 59 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 14:00 GMT. A total of 10 runners will be seen in action and their names are as follows: Cut Across, Ginzan, Welsh Inlet, Bobby´s Doll, Mother Jones, Court Applause,
Bravo King, Stonecrabstomorrow, Imaginary Diva and Sherjawy.
Although Cut Across does not have a lot of experience, he is a quality runner and appears to be in perfect shape at the moment. The bookmakers have full faith in his abilities and expect him to win comfortably at Brighton. The punters will also have no doubt
in his abilities, thus they might risk the maximum number of bets on him.
The four-year-old gelding has participated in just one event until now and he managed to win it by half a length. He was not expected to be strong on his debut, but surprised one and all with his speed.
A similar show will definitely put the Nick Littmoden’s trainee on top of the table today. He is carrying excellent momentum and it will be difficult for others to match him in the race.
Cut Across will be partnered by Neil Callan, who has got a decent record at this level. He has won quite a few races and will be looking forward to another impressive show.
On the other hand, Ginzan might manage to cause a few problems for her rivals. She does not have a god strike rate, as she has managed to win just once out of 13 outings. However, she has secured the runner up spot on three occasions whereas finished third
twice.
In her most recent race, the four-year-old filly finished fourth overall. She is not carrying good momentum at the moment, which suggests that she might struggle today. She will be partnered by Tom McLaughlin.
Welsh Inlet and Bobby´s Doll will be the other runners to watch out for in the race at Brighton.
